Colorado is truly a one-of-a-kind oasis. If you thrive in the high-intensity city scene, Denver is the place for you. If you want to get your heart pumping on a mountain hike, Boulder is only minutes away. To kickoff the release of our new website, we decided to share one of our recent Colorado experiences. IPB Founder and Colorado native Stefan Hertrich spent the 4th of July doing one of his favorite CO activities - riding through the Rocky Mountain roads on his motorcycle.
Stefan and his long time friend Mike Jones rode over 250 miles through 4 mountain passes. They started at Peak to Peak through the hidden mountain town of Nederland. Only minutes later, Stefan and Mike went through Blackhawk, Colorado’s own “Vegas”. From Blackhawk, they embraced the scenery from Oh My God Road, flew up I-70 to the iconic Georgetown, passed through Guanella Pass and Kenosha Pass to Fairplay (aka South Park - yes it’s a real place), went over Hoosier Pass, then stopped in Breckenridge for dinner at Mi Casa.
The two then took the scenic byway over Swan Mountain through Keystone ski resort, zoomed over Loveland Pass (Loveland Ski Area) meeting up with I-70 heading eastbound. They rode back over Nederland, and stopped 3,000 feet above Boulder at Stefan’s future home site on Sugarloaf Mountain to witness the fireworks show over Folsom Field at CU. After the last explosion of the finale, Stefan and Mike finished their ride back to Boulder.
Colorado is a great place to call home, offering boundless adventures, even for those who have lived in Colorado their whole lives!
